Name of apartment complex and the city in which it is located.

                - Cedar Trace, Maryland Heights

Travel time to school with traffic

1.20-30 mins Right off 270 which is great and great if you have 4 people who can share a townhouse. It         makes the rent really cheap

2.20-30 mins Without trafic, you can make it to the school in 15 minutes. However, with morning traffic,         it can take up to 30 minutes. It is best not to get on the interstate right at Dorsett in the morning. Go         to Lindberg and get on there. It is usually quicker. The apartments are located right at 270 and                 Dorsett. 270 connects to 70 on the next exit from the apartment. It is really close to both and very             convenient.

                3.  10-20 mins,  Usually about 15 minutes, but sometimes longer if traffic is bad on 70. 15 minutes             is a pretty consistent amount of daily time. An alternate route would be to take Dorsett                             Rd-East to Lindberg-North. This will take you to I-70 if 270 is congested in the morning.                         Another alternate route would be to take McKelvey Hill Drive (the main street through the                     complex) all the way to St. Charles Rock Road. Then take St. Charles Rock Road to I-70. It's a                 great alternate route too and we found it to be faster than Dorsett/Lindberg

How far away are you from a metro-link station?

                -10-20 mins

On a scale from 1-5 how satisified are you with your apartment complex?

                    1. 4

                 2. 4, The maintenance is great. Any time you have a problem they will be right there to fix it. The                                 grounds are nice with 2 pools and a fitness area.

                 3. 4,  Maryland Heights is like a little bubble. It has everything you basically need and it's                                              convenient. Many fast food places, a Schnucks, YMCA/Gold's/Bally's gyms, and you are very                              close to Creve Coeur Lake which is really nice

How safe do you feel your apartment complex and surrounding area is? A rating of 5 is very safe whereas a rating of 1 is very unsafe.

                1. 4

                2. 4, The area is fairly nice. I never had my car broken into, and no one i know did either. I did keep my                         car and house locked at all times whether I was home or not. You are living in a big city like St.                             Louis so you do have to be careful. Maryland Heights is nice.

                3. 5, Camden Trace is very safe, but you just always have to remember that you are in a city                                         where anything can happen. But it's a safe area

Are there any extra amenities included with you rent? Include features such as; trash, water, pool, club house, wash/dryer connections/laundry mat, exercise facilities, dishwasher, pet friendly, etc

                1. There are two pools and there is a small work out facility

                2. 2 pools, club house, laundry mat on site, exercise facilities, dishwasher, pet friendly (with a little extra                     rent)

                3.  two pools, club house, washer/dryer hookups, exercise facility, dishwasher, and you pay                        extra for pets

Please comment on closeness to stores, shops, restaurants, gyms etc. (ex. I live 2 blocks away from a Schuncks and St. Louis Mills)

                1. Everything you need is right there in Maryland Heights. It is kind of ways from any malls but that is             sometimes a good thing.

                2. Very close to Schnucks, fast food/restaurants, YMCA/Gold's/Bally's gyms...all within 2-3                                     blocks. Creve Coeur Lake is about 2-3 miles away. The Galleria is about 15 minutes away. West                         County Mall is about 20 minutes away. St. Louis Mills is about 15 minutes away

                3.  Very close to many restaurants. The grocery store Schnucks and Walgreens are right around the            block. There are a few gyms right around the corner too. Close to everything!

Is this location conducive to studying?

               1. Yes

                2. Yes, Very quiet neighborhoods

                3.  It's a residential area with a variety of people and families. I had no problem with not being able to             study. The location is conducive, so you can't use it as an excuse to not!

Do you feel like it was worth the cost to live there? (If you feel comfortable doing so, please include cost)

                1. Yes, we each paid about $350 for everything (water, trash, electric, cable) but that was a town house         with four people. Their two bed rooms are not as cost effective.

                2. We had a one bedroom apartment for $575, but they usually have specials going. They have really                         nice town homes that 4 people can share very comfortably. If you share one of those everyones rent                     is one about $270 a month. Which is very affordable, and the apartments are very nice.

                3.  Yes. Our rent was about $1150 a month and with all utilities it was about $1250-1300/month. We              lived in a town home and split the rent and utilities 4 ways.

Would you recommend this location to another student and why? Also please add any additional comments that you feel might be helpful for a new student moving to St. Louis.

                1. It was great I enjoyed living with other people. I didn't know any of the people when i moved in but we         spent three years together so just look up people on the list and give it a try. You never know

                2. I would recommend it to others. It was close to everything, not far from school, close to major                                 interstates, safe area, and nice apartments with amenities.

                3.  Yes! Good location b/c it is conveniently located to a number of things. Plus, the commute to                     school is short
