Name of apartment complex and the city in which it is located.

           - Oak Park Village (Previously Sierra Vista), St. Louis, MO

Travel time to school with traffic

           - 30+ mins Easy access to major highways, but traffic is a nightmare.

How far away are you from a metro-link station?

         - 30+ mins

On a scale from 1-5 how satisfied are you with your apartment complex?

-1 very unsatisfied, Maintenance was very unreliable, management was inactive. I had to be very careful to cover myself by forcing office staff to sign a slip of paper stating when I turned things in such as my keys - this came in very useful as I was charged extra rent, late fees, etc. because of the inefficiency of the office.

How safe do you feel your apartment complex and surrounding area is? A rating of 5 is very safe whereas a rating of 1 is very unsafe.

-1 very unsafe The lighting inside and outside of the building was broken and maintenance refused to fix it despite repeated break-ins and shootings in the complex. Drug dealing was a major problem - I was approached a number of times to buy and sell. The maintenance staff also lost my key with my address attached to it, "neglected" to tell me for a number of days and eventually changed my lock though not willingly.

Are there any extra amenities included with you rent? Include features such as; trash, water, pool, club house, wash/dryer connections/laundry mat, exercise facilities, dishwasher, pet friendly, etc

          - Water, trash, sewer included, clubhouse, three pools, dishwasher, excersice facilities.

Please comment on closeness to stores, shops, restaurants, gyms etc. (ex. I live 2 blocks away from a Schuncks and St. Louis Mills)

        - Schnucks was one block away, other shops were within fifteen minutes driving time.

Is this location conducive to studying?

           - No, Loud parties every night, sirens several times every evening to break up loud and violent fights in the complexes streets, reckless vehicles driving in circles around the complex.

Do you feel like it was worth the cost to live there? (If you feel comfortable doing so, please include cost)

            - $400 dollars for a beautiful one bedroom was an excellent price, however, given the condition of most of the apartments and problems of the office and other tenants - NO!

Would you recommend this location to another student and why? Also please add any additional comments that you feel might be helpful for a new student moving to St. Louis.

          -    I would never recommend this complex to another student as it is far too dangerous and the office will try to get as much out of you as they can, you have to be prepared with your proof. I would recommend staying away from the North County area, parts are OK, but stay far from the Spanish Lake/Bellefountaine Neighbors area!
